With quite some help from some nice guys at Intel Finland &#8211; thank you! &#8211; and a lot of trying and fiddling I can now report that my TPT10 seems to go to sleep and wake up again &#8211; without glitches, so far. A major improvement is the latest Linux kernel release 4.5.3 which contains a bunch of fixes for Baytrail SDIO and ACPI.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Still not working:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>NFC &#8211; oh well, would be a nice to have; right now I am more concerned of potential power drain when the device is not properly initialised<\/li>\n<li>Fingerprint reader &#8211; there is no driver, no datasheet and the SPI bus driver is not yet working<\/li>\n<li>WWAN modem &#8211; not yet tested, it times out using mbimcli, maybe because I do not have a SIM inserted?<\/li>\n<li>Sound &#8211; there is no Baytrail RT5672 board file yet, I intend to create one myself<\/li>\n<li>Cameras &#8211; well, that&#8217;s a real pity, but I have not given up hope yet since there are drivers for other Baytrail tablets around, but this is a big bunch of ugly code<\/li>\n<li>battery (and AC) &#8211; I do not have any battery status info and the AC adapter status is reported wrong; this is pretty important for me since I do not want to run out of juice while working mobile<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Last night I ordered the dock so I will be able to test the dock devices with, primarily the Ethernet and HDMI, eventually the USB3 port with a USB3 harddisk. If the dock work seamlessly it would turn the TPT10 into a very nice workstation &#8211; just drop it in, have a bigger USB keyboard, harddisk and screen attached and off you go with all sorts of office work.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I am making progress in getting the device to behave.
